Bitcoin. What is a bitcoin? Have you’ve seen the movie Dope? If not, 1) it’s great, 2) they dive into it. Now, the definition of bitcoin is, “a worldwide cryptocurrency and digital payment system.” When I first read that I can’t lie it was a lot for my non-business mind to grasp. In a simple way, bitcoin is just a form of currency used in the online world. The reason bitcoin was created was for people to be able to exchange money electronically and securely without the need for a third-party, like a bank or a company like PayPal. There are many places online who currently accept bitcoins as payment currently. Today I’ll talk about 3.
First up is Overstock.com. Overstock is a great website for all of your home goods. Their top-selling point is their furniture. The great thing about Overstock is that they always have deals going on. Their shipping is never an issue and always arrives on time. They were also one of the first major companies to start accepting bitcoins.
The second retailer that accepts bitcoins might come as a surprise. If you’re living in America you probably know what Dish is. Dish Network is a satellite television and internet service provider. Dish accepted its first bitcoin payment in August 2014. They are also one of the largest companies so far to adopt any kind of cryptocurrency, and the first subscription-based TV provider to do so.
Lastly, another place you can spend your bitcoins is right here! On Kimchi Socks! That’s right. We accept bitcoins. You should check out our latest designs and buy some of our socks! Great quality, colors, and designs all for a good price. My personal favorites are the dogecoin and Hawaiian socks.
